The Gyroscopic Inertial Thruster

. . This website is a detailed description of a tested and proven "reactionless" inertial propulsion device, by author/inventor David E. Cowlishaw of Silverton Oregon, along with the descriptions and devices of a growing number of contributing inventors.

. . I have found an effective mechanical way to rectify angular (spin) accelerations to create a so called, "reactionless" externally acting linear thrust! It's effectively a machine in a closed box that you add energy to, and it GOES, needing no outside matter interactions 8~)!

We are not breaking any generally understood (valid) physical "laws", though some basic assumptions accepted as a "given", by previously "proven" facts and observations, will now have to be revised indeed!

Reality demonstrates a found exception to the paper fiction practice of "conservation of angular momentum" (the physics equivalent of "double entry bookkeeping" ;). By using a bilaterally reversing off-center spin torque, a linear thrust is generated by internal spin accelerations! It has been proven by independant researchers, time and time again to work, though traditional science says it's impossible! ;)

. . Included are the details of it's discovery, testing, mechanical descriptions of an increasing number of variants, and the current status of this exciting new way to get ourselves inexpensively into space!

. . 3D models, animations, diagrams of force vectors, verbal and pictoral explanations, the first working design, and subsequent variants and new devices utilizing the basic principle are included. Devices made by others (pictures and renderings) are added as they come in, and the ongoing world-wide research, as revealed to me, is reported here.

.!. And the reports are coming in! A respectable and growing number are now convinced, they have made and tested the concept with their own hands! Now they are putting up web sites to say so! Wheeled, water, ice skid, and air table tests, even the mighty "pendulum test", has fallen sway to a new way to fly!.!.

. . Even the "suspect" surface tests, when tried on different surfaces and mediums, show an INCREASE in achieved velocity with reduced surface friction, ruling out the "slip/stick" ratcheting effect, so often cited as the plausible (dogmatic) explanation!

. . This is not science fiction folks, it's a simple, mechanical thrust producing device series that can be duplicated by any skilled craftsperson! To date, over 20 others besides myself have made successful devices (that have contacted me), and intense interest by nearly every aerospace giant and quite a few NASA and government research centers, shows that it's getting some serious consideration!
