V1.12 Updated 6 June 1977

This document was added on Friday, the 6th of June,1997

Changes: Over 1,800 file transfers now, with over 150 distinct host domains requesting files. You might get to thinking that I'm keeping score or something!

I have changed the background in the index, and will use that page to reflect changes in the status of this project. The new background is a rendering of early dawn, to impart the sense I have of a sunrise finally beginning after a long dark night.

I have moved almost half of the text in the background document to it's own page called PARANIOD, since that's what it is! Most folks looking into inertial propulsion are really not interested in my mental state, so it's off by itself for those few wanting a better insite into the process, rather than the result. It's linked through the same key word in the background document if you're at all interested in the events that have me acting the cautious puppy.

If you read the preceeding updates, then you know about my having problems with communication with the server being a too regular occurance, co-incidental I'm sure, or is it? The following events just serve to keep me guessing.

In trying to reach my server today, I could log on, start accruing time, but when any files were requested, meltdown occured. I spent a great deal of time tearing down and rebuilding the internet software, I then ran a complete virus scan of every file on two 2.1 gig hard drives with a clean bill of health (like a sophisticated virus would leave it's head sticking up). I finally gave up after the usual fix that I've been doing every other day failed to allow me to retrieve mail or get my stats, and I called tech support.

Would you believe my server has the problem this time? Given the fact that acadamia is now downloading files (my phase two push), and I have recieved a positive response from 2 Technical schools, as well as a "we'll look into it" from two major Universities, I wonder if the gremlins are stepping up their efforts!

Maybe that's a little grandios on my part, but one thing I've noticed in watching the stats is that "gravmotr.avi" was not being downloaded, even though it was an automatic file call from two frequently requested files, "backgrnd.htm" and "gitmotor.htm".

In checking the FTP file logs, gravmotr.avi was listed, but after trying to load it myself from the server to my browser, I was informed the file did not exist! Apparently the server system somehow would "overlook" the file when requested and report not found!

Of course I re-transfered the file (no changes, same file), and tried again. This time it downloaded, and that was about 4 am this morning (I couldn't sleep and had to get up for a while).

Today the whole system where my files are kept and passed out to the world has had a major meltdown, and they are having a devil of a time locating the problem, and don't know when they will be back on line!

Maybe the paranoia thing is creating phantom explanations for these problems, but when coincidence after coincidence keeps cropping up, perhaps there really is something going on!

In my writings I've only speculated on the possibility of using the GIT as a so-called "free energy device", and in watching the action in gravmotr.avi, the visual certainly looks as though it would work, but I've yet to hear from anyone actually trying it.

The same configuration built to test the propulsive effects of the GIT can be turned on it's side to test the gravity field power coupling possibility. If you don't have a copy of gravmotr.avi yet, I'd suggest you get one soon (if you can down-load it).

Who knows when the gremlin effects will be stepped up to more monsterous actions! If you have any problems obtaining any of the files please let me know, I still seem to get e-mail, and will want to get right on top of any problems.

I recieved the following letter on the 3rd of June from Dr. David E. Hartman, B.A., B.S.M.E., M.S., Ph.D. of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Northern Arizona University (teaching there since 1985)

Subject: Patent issues

David

Thanks for your interesting article. I'm going to pass it on to my
current course in sophomore Dynamics class for them to chew on.

Your concept is interesting but you won't be able to patent it, unless
you already have a patent pending (made an application). Public release
of a concept nullifies patenteablility.

I'll be talking with you some more.

Dave H

I obtained his permission to release his name and mail on the 4th of June after writing him back to thank him for the letter, and his willingness to share this idea with his students. He is doing what I have wanted a lot of others to do to get this thing flying, a serious study of the phenomenon by as many folks as possible, given the "impossible" nature of the device.

Before making a statement to the world that I can't patent and the GIT would be public domain, I did call a patent attorney to inquire about the public release thing, and the attorney thought I still had a year, but would have to check and get back to me. Laws change all the time, and even those in the field need to continually update. I'll let you know the results.

I am still undecided about releasing to public domain, and will need a little time yet (if I still have it) to make the decision. As I've stated before, a company wanting to develop an idea would much prefer the patent before investing big bucks in R and D.

I will make the choice that will insure the best possible result for the world involving this device, and I could use some feedback to help me make the decision. Let me know your thoughts on the subject by e-mail. If you could include permission to publish, it will save me a lot of time in having to request the same, and this project will proceed faster.

At 5:14 today I retried the server, and it's up and working again. Of course I'll be watching for any more bugs, ready to do battle with the nefarious forces of "co-incidence".

For those interested, Mom's out of the hospital, a catheter proceedure placed a stainless steel "stint" (an inside splint) to expand a narrowed heart artery. It is now in place, settling in for the long haul. She's not happy with the diet the doctors put her on, long on lean, and very little sugar (or flavor she says). If she can stick with the boring diet, she won't have to stick herself for insulin injections. She may now outlast me! 'till next......DavidC Friday 6 June 1997

END OF NEW INFO
I will not publish your name unless you give me permission to do so, although mail to me that I feel belongs here is fair game.

Links to appropriate related sites will be added in this document as they are made available.

Please note: The "punched plate" (easiest for homebuilders) graphics have been added to dress up GITMotor.htm, but the words relate to the hollow toroid version. If you need a measured drawing for bolt holes etc., perhaps it's best you wait until someone offers a kit.

I've got the 3D models in storage, and can render a graphic or two for anyone that convinces me that it will further the aims of this endeavor. Talk to me! The index page will have links to some of the artwork (unrelated), that I occasionally like enough to save from test renders, have a look!

Check back often, as I am adding more graphics, occasionally new backgrounds, and this update section will change about every week while the push is on. Changed wording 30 May 1997 - DavidC
