*UPDATES*
V1.09 Updated 17 May 1977
This document was added on Saturday, the 17th of May,1997
Well, the AltaVista search engine now has my site logged, and when a search for "UFO propulsion" is run, the Gyroscopic Inertial Thruster now comes up on the first page of over 17,000 matches! When "inertial propulsion" is searched, the match count is only 13, but the GIT is again on the first page!
I've tried several search parameters, and consistantly the engine returns with my link on or near the first page!
What is in a name? Not much apparently, but a META NAME is a whole different rascal, and a HUGE tool in getting to the right viewers.
I did get another well deserved correction letter about SPAMMING, I GOT THE MESSAGE! If you are one of the people who got my only unsolicited mass mailing on Saturday the 10 of May at open.org, you can read my appology in OLD NEWS, the second update document in this series (this is the third).
I have noticed that smut and explicit material abounds on the net, and I can't help but feel that some folks seeing GYROSCOPIC INERTIAL THRUSTER in the mail may inadvertantly associate the descriptive name of my device with adult toys! Sure it's a sexy name, but sheesh! Could it be that some folks with it enough to connect to the web are also illiterate? Life never ceases to amaze me!
I found out that the "unresolved numeric domains", servers requesting my files are likely to be universities and research firms from the old days before descriptive naming was enabled. OK! There are now 6 distinct numeric domains requesting files, and the older entries are coming back for more!
If you are at one of the above mentioned facilities, I'ld appreciate some feed-back, I don't bite, and I'm willing to discuss this device to anyone seriously interested.
At the time of this writing, the requested file count is about to break over the 800 mark, and daily requests are on the increase, now that the search engines are enabled.
I'm still waiting for someone to get in touch with me about their building a model, and the results. The "punched plate" version can be built by anyone with the usual compliment of powered hand tools at very little if any expense (the ball bearings are going to be about the only thing not sitting around the shop).
CHANGES: I have removed SaucerAd.avi from the top position on the GITMain page and replaced it with another copy of UfoDrive.avi because the download time on the former is really to long for people to wait for, and the shorter UfoDrive clip is much quicker to load and get up and running before the "click of doom".
I'm still catching bugs here and there, spelling mistakes and other erratta that do not alter the substance or content.
Anyway, enough for this update, I will be replacing the above text with real news once it comes in; I can't expect too much in a week!
END OF NEW INFO
Links to appropriate related sites will be added in this document as they are made available.
Please note: The "punched plate" (easiest for homebuilders) graphics have been added to dress up GITMotor.htm, but the words relate to the hollow toroid version. If you need a measured drawing for bolt holes etc., perhaps it's best you wait until someone offers a kit.
I've got the 3D models in storage, and can render a graphic or two for anyone that convinces me that it will further the aims of this endeavor. Talk to me! The index page will have links to some of the artwork (unrelated), that I occasionally like enough to save from test renders, have a look!
Check back often, as I am adding more graphics, occasionally new backgrounds, and this update section will change about every two days while the push is on. Save these pages if you want to keep a history, since I will be replacing rather than adding miles of text here.
