V1.07 Updated 13 May 1977

This document was created on Tuesday, the 13th of May, in preparation for need in the future, so I won't have to debug my newbie HTML after adding a link that goes nowhere!

Apparently my server (open.org) is very case sensitive, and I was sloppy with capitals in just about every document; I've been debugging like the Orkin man ever since!

For your information, this idea was unleashed on the world on Sunday, the 4th of May, as a .txt, .avi, and .bmp collection on floppy disks at the William Shatner love-in (they called it a Star Trek Convention....?), where 27 copies were handed out and left on the information table.

No responses so far from my attempt to share the "impulse drive", probably not enough fiction and fantasy to stir attention. Hmmph! Perhaps I'm different in looking at science fiction as an idea prod and opportunity to create reality from fantasy, rather than as an escape. There, that should get a response!

I then bought Dick Oliver's "teach yourself HTML 3.2 in 24 hours" and frankly it was nearly a week of adding HTML to my text files, and graphics calls. It's a good self-help book!

About midnight on Friday the 9th, I finally figured out how to "FTP" and the GIT was officially launched on the internet to a sputtering misfire. I discovered the capital letter problem with my server and I've been pounding these keys furiously ever since!

Saturday morning I got the bright idea to load the windows clipboard, e-mailing every mail address listed as a subscriber to open.org, pasting the Howdy! message at every mail window that responded to my click. About 175 messages sent, 5 returned.

Even though I've only recieved 3 e-mail responses (happily from mostly tech types) the 'Hits' have been steadily climbing, over 500 successful file transfers in less that 4 days!

Monday afternoon, I reloaded the clipboard (I know there's probably an easier way to do it, if you could tell me, I'ld sure appreciate it!), and went e-mail dropping all over an Alta Vista search for UFO's, poking my "Inertial Propulsion" letter at organizers, magazine editors, net chats and the like.

Hits are now coming from around the world, I worry about having to learn a new language to negotiate with folks for the patent improvements that I will need to market my base patent commercially. So far, a Japanese, an Israeli, and I think one Middle East server has requested files in the day and a half that the "Inertial Propulsion" letter has been out!

Who knows, perhaps a Pioneering patent can be achieved, but frankly I have doubts about our own patent system, having observed how it treats others with breakthrough technology.

Anyway, enough for this update, I will be replacing the above text with real news once it starts coming in; I can't expect too much in a couple of days!

I will not post your name or e-mail [CHANGED WORDING]unless you give me permission to do so, and links to appropriate related sites will be added in this document as they are made available.

Please note: The "Punched plate" (easiest for homebuilders) graphics have been added to dress up GITMotor.htm, but the words relate to the hollow toroid version. If you need a measured drawing for bolt holes etc., perhaps it's best you wait till someone offers a kit.

I've got the 3D models in storage, and can render a graphic for anyone that convinces me that it will further the aims of this endeavor. Talk to me! The index page will have links to some of the artwork (unrelated), that I occasionally like enough to save from test renders, have a look!

Check back often, as I am adding more graphics, occasionally new backgrounds, and this update section will change about every two days while the push is on. Save these pages if you want to keep a history, since I will be replacing rather than adding miles of text here.
